Tony Carleton
Director, Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer Training Academy

Tony has served in law enforcement leadership, police command, training administration, SWAT, corrections, firearms instruction, and defensive tactics. He served as Chief of Police for Tupelo PD and Columbus PD, has taught SSGT since 2003, served on the board since 2006, and currently serves as Director of the Mississippi Law Enforcement Officer Training Academy.

Carl Dabadie
Major, East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office

Carl served with the Baton Rouge Police Department through command staff and Chief of Police roles and currently serves as a Major with the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff's Office. He has taught defensive tactics since 1988 and brings senior law enforcement leadership, instructor development, and training command experience to SSGT.

Billy retired from State of Alabama service and later from the Manatee County Sheriff's Office, with work spanning law enforcement, corrections training, academy leadership, curriculum development, and public safety instruction. His background also includes firearms instruction, emergency response course development, and U.S. Marine Corps service.

Sergeant, Fayetteville Police Department (R)

Jason brings law enforcement experience in criminal investigations, field training, firearms instruction, defensive tactics instruction, SWAT operations, and SWAT team leadership. He combines that background with long-standing martial arts experience, a Brazilian jiu-jitsu black belt, and senior SSGT instructor experience in both defensive tactics and firearms.

Roy Ellis
Lieutenant, Alabama Marine Police (R)

Roy served with the Cullman County Sheriff's Office and retired as a Lieutenant with the Alabama Marine Police. He is the longest-serving SSGT Board Member and is credited with helping shape the early development of SSGT tactics and techniques.

Ricky Harris
MSG (R), U.S. Army Special Forces

Ricky is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces MSG with a background in Special Forces weapons, team leadership, sniping, and combat deployment. His experience includes Ranger qualification, service as a Special Forces Weapons Sergeant and Team Sergeant, Senior Instructor at the JFK Special Warfare Center Sniper School, and senior enlisted leader for the 3rd Special Forces Group Sniper Training Detachment.

Leslie brings law enforcement experience in senior investigative work, SWAT leadership, undercover work, FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force work, and multiple firearms instructor disciplines. His SSGT background includes service as a firearms instructor.

Chase serves with the Jackson Police Department and brings SWAT, K9, sniper, firearms, defensive tactics, and military leadership experience to SSGT. His background includes U.S. Army Infantry/Engineer service, an infantry combat deployment to Iraq, and instructor work with officers across multiple agencies and states.

Greg has served as a law enforcement officer since 2005 and brings motorcycle division leadership, defensive tactics instruction, Equalizer instruction, and Marine Corps experience to SSGT. He serves as a Mississippi Vanguard Instructor Trainer and has been identified as a lead defensive tactics instructor with the DeSoto County Sheriff's Office.

Barry retired as a Major with the West Monroe Police Department and continued his law enforcement service with the Ouachita Parish Sheriff's Office. He brings SSGT decades of experience in defensive tactics, firearms, SWAT, and martial arts, including service as a Board Member.
